Details
Colombia Finca Los Robles comes from a 5-hectare farm where the Colombia, Caturra, and Castillo varieties are cultivated and fully washed.
Colombian coffees rank among the best in the world, with their taste and quality being truly exceptional. This is thanks to ideal climatic and geographical conditions that favor the development of exceptional coffee beans.
Colombia Finca Los Robles is grown on a 5-hectare farm owned by Alfredo Sanchez.
At over 1600 meters above sea level, Alfredo cultivates the Colombia, Caturra, and Castillo varieties, processing them using the washed method.
This coffee is very sweet and has a winey-fruity profile with a smooth, full body.
It’s a great, slightly unconventional choice for refined palates. While we definitely recommend enjoying it black, fans of milk-based coffee will also be pleased!
What surprised us in this coffee was the cherry-chocolate sweetness and the almost complete absence of acidity.
We thought: since many of our customers tend to avoid acidic or fruity coffees, perhaps this is the one that will win them over to fruit-forward profiles.
In Colombia Los Robles, the flavor of sweet, ripe cherry lingers long after the last sip.
How should this coffee be brewed?
How is it profiled? What do we recommend it for?
Colombia Los Robles is profiled for all pressure-based brewing methods.
We recommend preparing it in espresso machines (portafilter) or moka pots.
With either method, you’ll enjoy an intensely sweet cup with notes of milk chocolate and ripe cherry.
With milk or without?
Drink it however you enjoy most!
Thanks to its relatively high body and pronounced character, this coffee pairs well with milk—but we primarily recommend it as a black coffee.
Do you enjoy an espresso or americano with chocolatey-fruity sweetness? Colombia Finca Los Robles is for you!
Does this coffee have acidity?
Yes, but it’s very subtle—more like red wine.
It’s smooth, barely noticeable, and perfectly balanced by the coffee’s high sweetness.
