Details

Selected Arabica coffee beans from the La Paz/Marcala region in Honduras are characterized by very low acidity.
A darker roast profile enhances the intense notes of nuts and cane sugar, creating a perfectly balanced cup—both in milk-based and black coffee beverages. These beans are intended for drinks prepared using espresso machines, moka pots, and automatic coffee machines.

Honduras Marcala comes from the COMSA cooperative, which operates in the La Paz region and brings together smallholder farmers.
The flavor is dominated by notes of nuts, cane sugar, and chocolate. It’s sweet and nearly devoid of acidity.
We roast it slightly darker to make sure it performs well in automatic machines.
From our Honduras, you’ll get a sweet and aromatic espresso that also serves as an excellent base for milk-based coffees.

Where do the beans come from?
Honduras Marcala is a blend of Caturra, Typica, and Bourbon botanical varieties.
The beans are grown in the southern department of La Paz, near the town of Marcala, where the COMSA cooperative is located.
This coffee is cultivated at altitudes of 1100–1200 meters above sea level and is fully washed (wet processed).

Why did we choose it?

The character of Brazil Mogiana proved to be so popular among our customers that it quickly became a bestseller.
That's why we wanted to add beans to our selection with a similar profile.
Honduras Marcala is a straightforward, smooth coffee with medium body, high sweetness, and barely perceptible acidity.
Nut and cane sugar notes take the lead, with a subtle chocolate aftertaste.

How is it profiled? What is it especially good for?

Honduras Marcala is our next offering crafted especially for users of automatic coffee machines.
Its profile and slightly darker roast bring a sweet cup with a short chocolatey finish and a pleasant medium body.
We particularly recommend it as a base for milk-based drinks, but espresso lovers won’t be disappointed either.
