Details

Selected Arabica coffee beans from the La Paz/Marcala region of Honduras, characterized by very low acidity. The darker roast accentuates the intense notes of nuts and cane sugar, giving the perfect balance in both milk and black coffees. Suitable for beverages prepared in espresso machines, coffee machines and automatic coffee makers. Honduras Marcala is a bean from the COMSA cooperative, which operates in the La Paz region and brings together small farmers. The flavor of this coffee is dominated by notes of nut, cane sugar and chocolate. It is sweet and almost devoid of acidity. We roasted it a tad darker so that it would taste good brewed in automatic machines. You'll get a sweet and aromatic espresso out of our Honduras, which will also be the base for delicious milk coffees. Where does the grain come from? Honduras Marcala is a blend of Caturra, Typica and Bourbon botanicals. The beans come from the southern department of La Paz from near the town of Marcala, where the COMSA cooperative operates. The coffee there is grown at an altitude of 1100-1200 meters above sea level and has been washed-processed. Where do the beans come from? Why did we choose them?

You liked the character of Brazil Mogian so much that this coffee quickly became our bestseller. For this reason, we wanted to include beans with a similar character. Honduras Marcala is a simple, smooth coffee with an average body, high sweetness and almost unnoticeable acidity. Notes of nut and cane sugar play the first fiddle here, and you'll additionally find chocolate in the aftertaste. How is it profiled? What do we particularly recommend it for? Honduras Marcala is our next offering designed for owners of automatic coffee makers. Its character and slightly darker roast profile mean that you'll find mostly high sweetness, a short chocolate aftertaste and a pleasant medium body in your cup. Honduras is particularly recommended as a base for milk coffees, but espresso lovers will not be disappointed either.
